I will preface this by saying that, 99% of the time, its not worth pre-ordering new cards
Not competitively, but I can see myself building a deck around Rubinia Soulsinger if I pull one in a dollar pack at my LGS
So, while $150 for an experience is vastly less than one would pay if playing real competitive Magic, its still quite a lot compared to a random board game, where $150 is going to get you a massive box of plastic figures for some 6-hour epic space game, plus a new deck-building game, plus some old Silverline game from FFG
As long as we continue to see powerful commanders in basically every new product, I look forward to seeing more cards like Cyber Conversion to answer them
Black Lotus costing zero mana and tapping for three mana of any one color is such an absurd rate that it gets the number one spot regardless, hence it being banned in Legacy and Restricted in Vintage
