While I do consider it a no-brainer for Cube enthusiasts, drafters, and collectors, it is really a set that offers Commander players many cards worth playing.
Unfortunately, Wizards of the Coast doesn't attach a defined MSRP to their Commander products, so theres some room for demand-based price inflation
There are many opportunities to grow as a player because you are constantly trying to outplay your opponent with 2/2s for two mana or something similar
He is certainly not unplayable, but stopping life gain is not that big an impact on the game, paying two life and two mana for an extra card is nowhere near as good as Underworld Connections, and that leaves us needing to consistently get the body to make him worth it
being able to control the flow of counters on or off those card types can lead to some strong combos
The second half of evoke is a triggered ability
